Madam Evilena and Finola

It is the morning after the night before. Time for a Crafting play-date.
When our Finola was invited in by the Craft Wizard she never thought for a moment that a new friendship would blossom between her and the very striking and exotic Madam Evilena.  Finola watched as Evilena sashayed down the huge staircase, bracelets tinkling merrily and stiletto's click clacking on the tiles and wondered what exciting craft ideas would be exchanged. Evilena's craft room was equipped with all the tools Finola could have wished for and she excitedly waited for the first project which was... making lovely gifts with skeins of neon coloured macramé twine (which Evilena had um.. over ordered and needed to get rid of) and lots of pom poms and chenille stems, sparkly ones-of course and popsicle sticks (aka tongue depressors). Evilena looked encouragingly over at Finola saying that so many wonderful things can be whipped up from these items. Finola's spirits drooped.. what could she say.. The moment was saved by the arrival of tea.. set out on a silver tray and carried by, Oh my! ...

If you have an idea of who startled Finola then please visit the Rick St. Dennis facebook page and leave a comment describing the character. This could be chosen as the next main element, you and I will receive a copy of the image free of charge. I will colour mine and add the next part of the story.

The two images have been printed onto neenah card and coloured with promarkers and spectrum noir pencils then inserted into Craft Artist 2 for the background and elements.

Finola and Trevor The story continues

Finola
Craft Wizard
by Rick St. Dennis
Rick's facebook group
This is part three of Finola's story. Parts one and two can be found here

The were-owl was caught mid change. He was a sight to behold. His cloak had almost completely morphed from feathers to silk, but there it stopped. Neither fully feathered nor completely cloaked. It was rather an embarrassing situation but our Finola is a 'Woman of the World'. Before she could help him she introduced herself as no-one should fiddle with someone's feathers without proper manners. The were-owl told her that he was in fact a fully fledged Craft Wizard called Trevor and that he only had a charged glue-gun and a pair of crazy edged scissors so he needed Finola.  Xavier couldn't help..he couldn't get his feathery fingers to stop fluttering. It was up to Finola. It was now morning and Trevor was still half and half.. Things could not continue like this so Trevor took Finola to his house where he had all his crafting supplies and his assistant would be waiting for them. Trevor opened the huge front door and they stepped into the hall. Finola heard a noise to one side and coming down the stairs was the strangest.....

If you have an idea of who startled Finola then please visit the Rick St. Dennis facebook page and leave a comment describing the character. This could be chosen as the next main element, you and I will receive a copy of the image free of charge. I will colour mine and add the next part of the story.

Magda and Sparkles Guest Designer spot for Kit and Clowder

With background papers from Under The Moon
at Mischief Circus

Sponsored by
Flying Unicorn Store

I won this Guest Designer spot in a challenge Alyce organised at Kit and Clowder.
I downloaded the un-coloured image straight into Craft Artist 2 where I embossed the lady's dress as it was a large area of plain material. Instead of removing the white background I removed the white of the dress. I selected a tiny heart design and click and dragged it onto my workspace and placed it behind the 'cut out' dress. . I then printed the image onto neenah and coloured it with promarkers and spectrum noir pencils. I shaded the left side of each heart to show up the embossing. Then it was back to Craft Artist 2 where I removed the  white background and built up the enchanted forest.

I built up the scene in Craft Artist 2 changing the frame colour and adding a few embellishments.
