For Crafting for all Seasons

These are really pretty images and I found this one an absolute delight to colour. I printed her onto neenah and coloured her with promarkers and pencils. I then imported the coloured image into Craft Artist 2 where I removed the white surround and started playing with backgrounds. I decided to make it look like a journal layout. I have a kit with blank white pages and I started adding papers and stitching and little embellishments and ended up with the look of a memory album page.

More Christmassy Stuff

It took me ages to make these some years ago when I was really into cross stitch. I always used to buy a beautiful magazine as soon as the Christmas images were on show. I used plastic canvas to make them durable and DMC thread. I also made little stands for them but still had to use blu-tack to keep them upright.

Advent House

We are slowly decorating our house for Christmas. This Advent house is even more gorgeous than it looks on these photos. We bought it in kit form from That Craft Place. http://www.thatcraftplace.co.uk/
Colin built it and I painted it.. chocolate brown on the outside and an ecru colour on the inside. Every bit was painted and the inside of the drawers were stamped with tiny poinsettiers and holly. I had a sheet of Hunkydory diecuts in my stash which just happened to have the 12 days of Christmas images. I found enough little foiled pictures to finish the rest of the drawers. I then coloured brads to match the colour of each drawer front and used them to open the drawers. Oh yes.. and I painted and stuck the 6 on the wrong way round. Ho hum...

I would like to enter this into the following challenges

for Scrappers Delight
Feathers from the Fairy Topia Kit
This pretty little fairy comes with and without wings and here I have used a feather from the Fairy Topia.
I coloured the two images with promarkers and pencils. With the second image I removed the white from within the drawn feathers and added the pre coloured feathers one by one.

Scrappers Delight

I wanted to show how easy it is to make delightful cards with the Scrappers Delight images. Here I have chosen two images. I printed them onto neenah and coloured them with promarkers and pencils. I then imported them into Craft Artist 2 where I removed the white surround and kept them in the 'embellishments' section until they were needed. I brought the Toymaker into my workspace and digitally striped his trousers, grouped the Toymaker and the stripe together and placed him back in the 'embellishments' section. I then imported the lovely tree topper into Craft Artist 2. I punched out a square in the middle of the branches and clicked and dragged it into the 'background' section. I did this because when I placed it back onto my workspace from the 'background' section it would fit my chosen page size perfectly.I had already saved the green stripy paper previously and now brought that on to the workspace in the center of the background..the same with the frame. I then placed the Toymaker to one side and added a sentiment. I did the same with the Nutcracker except that I copy and pasted so I had two of them and flipped one to face the other way. I think this is a very quick way of working with digital images.

More for the New Release at Scrappers Delight

A few more projects to share with you, again using the new releases from Scrappers Delight

Winter Background
As before I used neenah/promarker/pencils. This time when I imported the coloured image into Craft Artist 2 I removed the white surround and used an element from an embossing kit to make parts of the image look like they had been knitted.

More from the New Release over at Scrappers Delight

I printed the first image onto neenah and coloured him with promarkers and pencils then scanned him into Craft Artist 2 where I flipped him so he faced right instead of left. I removed the white surround and put him to one side. I then imported the background into my workspace. I copied and pasted it so I had a second image to work with. I moved the background image into the 'background' section. Now I worked on the background image still on my workspace. I cropped it until I only had a small square of striped green. I moved this little square into the background section to be used later. I brought the first background onto my workspace and as it had been in the background section it resized itself to fit my chosen size of card. I added the 'soldier' and a watermark.
With the second project I printed the mouse king onto neenah and coloured him with promarkers and pencils. I then imported him into Craft Artist 2 where I removed the white surround and moved him off the workspace. I went to the background section where I have previously had placed the small square of stripes.. clicked and dragged and the little stripy section transformed itself into a whole wall of stripes. I then used one of the round toppers from the Xmas collection, added a bevel edge and placed it onto the background. Then it was just a matter of adding the mouse king and a sentiment and watermark and da dahh....

There is a wonderful collection of images available at Deedee's Digi so I hope you will enter your projects for a chance to win.Sometimes I really love using the pre coloured images from Deedee's Designs, it means I can always make a quick card when I have forgotten a special day. This sheet has a sitting mouse and one sitting on a pumpkin along with several sentiments and all I did was to import the images into Craft Artist 2, change the colours of the mouse on the right and add a background and a few embellishments.

Isn't this the most wonderful scene! There are so many to choose from at the amazing Bugaboo.  With all the characters interacting and all the fun with the penguins and robin. This was a joy to colour.. such clear lines and cross hatching where the shading could be. I printed this onto neenah and coloured it with promarkers and pencils. I then imported the coloured image into Craft Artist 2 where I removed the white surround and added a background.
