Hat Shop

These gorgeous hats are By Rick St. Dennis and are from one of his lovely design sheets. I have tried to find the link for the exact sheet I have used but until then the hats are available on a sheet here at Rick's Zibbet shop. I have printed the image onto neenah and coloured it with promarkers. The frame has been cut using my cricut and a Christmas present called Fancy Frames cartridge then just layered up with sticky fixers. The cardstock is adorable scorable from Hunkydory.
I hope you have had a happy time over Christmas, we had two of our grandchildren to stay Christmas night and through Boxing Day...so many giggles. I was fading fast by the evening, still, I think I have caught up with my sleep now. All ready to see them all on Thursday for games night. We have a wii with a racing game...one day I said something about a wiiing competition. My grandson insists I said a weeing competition... ho hum (note to self, be careful to engage brain before mouth takes over).
I nearly forgot...there is a gorgeous freebie available with Rick's newsletter, the link is on my sidebar. I have already coloured mine - please don't miss out, they really are very special designs.

Beautiful Faerie

This lovely young faerie is called Star Fairy you can find her at Rick's Zibbet store. She is posed sitting so I was able to use one of Rick's chair designs which come in a sheet full of different chair digis. I am not sure what they are called but as soon as I can find out the info I will update my post.. I have used my promarkers to colour her and the chair, with the background made with mcs. I have a wonderful new cartridge for my cricut so now the frantic side of Christmas has been survived I am gonna play, play, play!!!

Be Quiet!.... (Pretty mermaid next post down)

Here we have Rick's Panicky Pirate Well, the warning had been on Jaydn's door since Halloween.. the jingle bell was there as an early warning system in case any trick or treaters should call expecting sweets instead of leaving them for the occupant. It would also warn of any little sisters who might 'accidentally' walk into the room.
Now with Creepmas coming up there is the added problem of a shifty looking fella with a sack and oh yeh...he's leaving presents not taking them??? For a start...this reindeer pretended to be a he...he can't be...males lose their antlers, the females keep theirs - therefore Rudolf was a female (as were the rest of the team)

According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year (the only members of the deer family, Cervidae, to have females do so), male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid December. Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.
Therefore, according to every historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, every single one of them, from Rudolf to Blitzen ... had to be a female.

Rudolfina then ate my carrots,, just walked right in without a by- your- leave and ate my supper. So Rudolfina was roughed up a bit...it could have been a passing elf what did it guv'.   The mincepies that were left by the bedtime milk were also stolen, only crumbs were left. So, this year we are ready for you, the rats who ambushed the elf a couple of days ago have been recruited. There is still a supply of squishy pumpkins ready as ammo, the witches and the cats and bats are standing by. Ready. You have been warned.

The mice have been caught in the act, there must have been a witness, the elf was going about his normal working day and no-one shouted STOP! Mr & Mrs Claus

Isn't this couple just adorable? Here we have the man of the moment dancing with his Missus. They are called Christmas Couple and can be found here. They are very easy to colour with Rick drawing the cross hatching to help with the shading. The are also exceptionally easy to fussy cut.
Onto family news...Colin and I had an appointment this evening at the hospital to get the results of his scan last week. Colin's tumour has shrunk to about a third of what it was. All that chemo and tablets and care and all those side effects and now he only has one more treatment which will be a double dose then the next week a single and then hopefully an op to remove the tumour. I may stop grinning just long enough to have a cuppa and a mincepie.

scary tree

I am really having fun with this image, it's called Creepmas Tree Monster and is here on Rick's Zibbet shop. Printed onto neenah, coloured with promarkers with glittered 'fur' on his hat (my puffy snow stuff has clogged up so I had to make do) Well...the Creepmas Blog Hop is going well, the days are just speeding by and I'm seeing so many really clever images and scenes and sentiments that my head is spinning! I hope you do have a moment to visit some of the bloggers I can tell you now-you won't be bored.

Sugar plum fairy/ Hannah's been good

My Creepmas bloghop entry follows this post

I am so happy I have this little mouse in my collection. She is this month's freebie from Rick St Dennis so you can see the quality of his digis. I have made this door hanger for my little grand-daughters...I placed this little mouse into mcs and then flipped the image and made it a bit smaller. I bought the door hanger from Hobbycraft just for a few pounds and painted it with gesso. The images were printed onto neenah, coloured with promarkers and glittered. I used my cricut to make two frames and leaves and dipped into my stash for the w.o.c. flowers.

This is Hannah...she is actually a Halloween digi from Rick to be found on his Zibbet shop here but I have used her as part of the creepmas blog hop. I do like to get more use out of the digis in my collection if I can and she does look like she's trying to be good.. Printed onto neenah, coloured with promarkers. I am using some frames from mcs...with a bit of altering they make the design look a bit aged and worn.

Scary go round

Well I think this digi image would be great as part of a scary scene. It's called Scary go Round and can be found here on Rick's Zibbet shop site. There is so much detail with cross hatching so you know where the shading could go. I've printed this image onto neenah paper from Crafters Companion, I find this particular paper easy to use with promarkers but it really is a personal choice. As always I have used promarkers to colour the image. Background and embellishments made with mcs.
I hope you are all following the creepmas hop over at Smeared and Smudged. It is totally different to anything I have ever taken part in before... it's not a cute hop, it's a totally 'out there' Christmassy hop.

The gypsy in my soul

I would like to introduce Esmarelda 2 - you can find her here in Rick's Zibbet shop. I think later I will try a project including both of these ladies. The Esmarelda with the fortuneteller tent can be found here. So, back to the lady on the left...she has been

printed onto neenah, coloured with promarkers. Then framed, background added and clasps.

First Creepmas Tag

This is attached to our son-in-law Manwai's Christmas goodies. The scary Creepmas Tree Monster by Rick can be found here on Rick's Zibbet shop. I added some ordinary Christmas parcel images but you can find some really creepy ones here as well as many more Creepmas images just for fun. This is printed onto neenah, coloured with my promarkers, glittered hat band and bobble, extra parcels and fairy lights using mcs and swirls and holly with my cricut.
Onto family stuff...we went to the hospital Monday afternoon for Colin's Chemo. He had a canula fitted and bloods taken but they came back showing Colin's white cell count isn't strong enough for Chemo so we had a cup of tea and went home. This does happen now and then...I think it was about a month ago the same thing happened, I think I am just pleased they are keeping an eye on his treatment. Wednesday we are back at the hospital for a scan to see if the Chemo is working then back again next week for the results. Some weeks I don't know if I'm Arthur or Martha!

Can there ever be too much green?

This lovely little elf is scattering stardust as he skates along. He has been drawn by Rick and can be found here at Rick's Zibbet shop. These little elves are so easy to colour and this little chap fits so well into wintery scenes. Printed onto neenah and coloured with promarkers. I then used mcs to make the bauble to go over the elf and the background and bow and changed the colours to match the elf. Another flat card for posting... and it gives me a little light relief from Creepmas which I seem to be enjoying a bit too much!

Creepmas Angel Dark Lady

I am joining in with the Smeared and Smudged Creepmas blog hop with this gorgeous Creepmas Angel Dark Lady image by Rick St. Dennis to be found here at his Zibbet shop. This time I have actually written down the promarker (with fine tip) colours
Hair     Burnt Sienna/Caramel
Skin    Sunkissed Pink/Blush
Wings  Aubergine/Purple
Dress  Orchid/Violet
Some frantage around the image to age it a bit. And a scattering of bats. Frame made using mcs with a colour change. This is probably the prettiest of Rick's Creepmas images...there will be another the day after tomorrow. If you want to follow the Creepmas blog hop the list is on my sidebar.
