Mini Album keepsake for Jasmine

This is my first real mini album. Some time ago my friend Carla sent me a Christmas mini album. It is so beautiful and is now part of our Christmas tradition, every year it is on display and is filled with Christmas memories.
I have now made my own mini album for our precious grand daughter Jasmine. She loves to bake with her granddad but she doesn't like raisin juice (mincemeat). Jasmine made these apple pies from scratch on her own. The photos were taken in the kitchen of our old house when Jasmine was 7.

I found the little box with six card blanks at Create and Craft it is called a Graphic 45 Mixed Media Box. A cinch machine was used to bind the pages together. The boxes have a square aperture on the top which I covered with a wonderful die-cut from tonic studios.. and I cut and trimmed the rose design for each of the sides. Then went round the designs with liquid pearls.
I have the Tonic studios flipflop die kits and one of the dies are just the right size to layer on the blanks. I used the card which came as part of the cut and 'boss die-cutting machine package to make the first layers.

Here you can see how I used the die cuts across the aperture.. although the die is not a mirror image I quite like the effect. You can also see the die cut on the inside of the base.

I have finally used some of my graphic 45 papers. I know they are not just for looking at and smoothing out and daydreaming about... they are for using and loving and I think they work perfectly together even across the collections.
Here are the pages together and be-ribboned. A layer of graphic 45 and a Tonic die cut.

I have written out the recipe for apple pies which Jasmine can make from scratch (except from opening a tin of apple pie filling) There are tags and hidden pockets where I have placed the step by step photos and the method is also on tags.

I adore these papers, I started collecting them and had to give myself a good talking to! I finally used them and I love, love them so much. They include little tags and envelopes and tiny pockets to hide away for little surprises.

Jasmine's Grand-dad and I have written little messages which we have tucked away in the pockets.

I hope you can see the beautiful dies. I think this is the set where there is a large frame and there are smaller decorative plaques to cut out the middle section with a lattice pattern.

These pages are not so highly decorated as I have made a small journal with just a few pages for Jasmine to write down her thoughts and we will pop that into place when she is ready.

This is the back of the album. I wanted to show this stunning Tonic die. It comes in a collection of 6 and is the die I used for the sides of the box. I just cut round the roses and I think it fits perfectly. I do like layering up the same colour papers.

I will update and add the rest of the photos soon.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges
