I do love this castle image, it's going to make a perfect background for some of the fantasy images by Rick. Printed onto neenah, coloured with promarkers. 'Fussy cut' using Serif. Bubble, doily, background and script made in mcs. I did enjoy colouring this image, Rick's shading really helps.

by Rick St. Dennis
This lovely lady has been printed onto neenah, and coloured with promarkers. The background was made in mcs.
Something so funny just happened.... I have an appointment with the dentist today, the dental nurse just rang and asked if she could change the appointment time to 2.30 (tooth hurty get it?)

Dragon Lore
Woman with serpentine dragon tattoo
by Mitzi at Aurora Wings
This wonderful image has been printed onto neenah, coloured with promarkers. I love The Range for frames and I think this one shows off my project perfectly.I think somehow I lost most of Wednesday... I had such a headache that I went to bed about 5ish and didn't wake up till gone midnight. What happened to my tea? What did Colin have for his tea? What happened to my meds? I am totally confused just sitting in the living room in a bit of a daze. The ironing keeps looking at me... it can look all it likes... I'm not ironing at 3am! I was going to make myself something to eat... a bit daft really when I will be having my porridge in about three hours when Colin gets up.

Old Fashioned Outhouse
by Rick St. Dennis
Sometimes I just feel like colouring something totally different and I think a set of outhouses really fit the bill. Printed onto neenah, coloured with promarkers. The frame is from The Range. This morning is a morning just for me. Colin is going to the local town to play bowls, so I can catch up with all the ironing, or do the dishes and sort out the kitchen cupboards, or finish painting the bathroom and hang my coloured and framed mermaid images, or get out in the garden and weed Foggy Bottom (a rather secluded area of our garden overgrown with honeysuckle), or I could paint the aging birdtable and large garden swing... or I could sit and colour and watch a spooky film. Hummmm...

A Goth Mermaid
by Aurora Wings
This wonderfully wicked mermaid surrounded by skulls and jewels has been drawn by Mitzi at Aurora Wings. I have printed the mermaid onto neenah and coloured her with promarkers. I added frantage around the image. I bought the frame for a couple of pounds at The Range and glued tiny shells and gems and tiny stones along the bottom edge. I hope you love her too.I would like to enter this into the following challenges

Lady Diamante Fitzhugh
by Rick St. Dennis
This wonderful lady is beautifully dressed for the Opera Gala with her opera glasses and all her finery. I love these grand mature ladies, they really know how to have some fun! Printed onto neenah, coloured with promarkers. The background and sentiment made in mcs.I was up so early today, I forgot to check the time and I wandered downstairs thinking it's a bit quiet round here, it was just me and the birds (they are not pleased with us - the bird feeder has run out and we won't have any more seed till we visit poundland... next to Hobbycraft yea!) I settled myself down and logged on...half past flippin' four!!! Colin wandered down a bit bleary eyed and asked me if I wanted a cup of tea, such a sweetie. I couldn't let him wake up too much so I made myself a drink and Colin went back to bed. I refuse to iron at this time or to washup so I'm just sitting here playing nicely.

A Steampunked 'Winner' for the progressive challenge on Sparkle and Glitter
by Rick St. Dennis
This handsome chap has so much going on. There are rats (cute ones) climbing his hat and hanging off his arms. A spider web plus spider. A tiny bat key chain and little caterpillar. (I just asked Colin how to spell caterpillar and he said....wait a while and just spell butterfly), Smart top hat, gloves and cane and of course a winners sash. What more could a little champion ask for? Monster has been printed onto neenah, coloured with promarkers. Fussy-cut using Serif. Background made in mcs and just gently steampunked.
Those of you who entered the challenge on Sparkle and Glitter (and just email Rick so he has your email address to send the image) will receive this image for free. It is a great challenge so please just pop over to Sparkle and Glitter, use a Rick St. Dennis image and enter. Then you too will receive an image which you can use on the following challenge. Seems like a good idea to me.

Sea Sprite with friend
Sea Sprite 2 on Zibbet
Sea Sprite 2 on etsy
by Rick St. Dennis
This gorgeous young Sea Sprite is available in both the etsy and the zibbet store. A delight to colour and will be framed alongside Sea Sprite 1 which I will be showing in a few days. There are so many underwater images to choose from but this image is new to me so I couldn't wait to try out my new 'marine' promarkers. We've just arrived home from paint shopping and I noticed the most beautiful tiny purple flowers peeking through nextdoors fence... if they grow on our side and they're purple or just very pretty they can stay.... Colin told me it is deadly nightshade! Oh well, they're gonna have to go! (but they are so pretty)

Morning Goddess Betty
by Rick St. Dennis
Here is another of Rick's Morning Goddesses. Printed onto neenah and coloured with promarkers. A little gloss on the coffee pot and mug. Background by mcs.I hope you're having a good Bank Holiday, the weather has stayed lovely here, in fact it has been too hot and sunny to do any gardening. Because we had quite a lot of rain a few days ago the flowers are growing like mad... so are the weeds! The veg patch is looking good, everything is as it should be but this year Colin has fitted netting over the raspberries and a poly-tunnel over the delicate 'tasty to birds and slugs' beetroot. We haven't seen our family for a couple of weeks now, Colin gets exhausted easily after all his cancer treatment and I am just making him small meals that he doesn't always finish.

Pollyanna
by Rick St. Dennis
The Vicarage
by Rick St. Dennis
Part of Home Sweet Home collection
by make it crafty
This sweet little girl in this indoor scene is Pollyanna. It is the first time I tried to cut away the background of an image using Serif Craft Artist... with a little more practice I should be able to make it seamless. The Serif itself was so inexpensive and it works alongside other designing discs beautifully. Printed onto neenah, coloured with promarkers, papers and ribbon from mcs.

This is for you
by Rick St. Dennis
He only did as he was asked... printed onto neenah, I still haven't found a paper I like better. And I use promarkers because that is all I have. I may like to try some of the new pens and pencils but until then I am happy with the ones I already have. Papers from the new range by mcs.It is a gorgeous day today, Colin is painting his shed (man cave) and I have been weeding since about 8am but it is too hot and sunny to be out there at the moment. I may do some more after tea.

The Vicarage
by Rick St. Dennis
This beautiful Vicarage scene would look gorgeous as a background for so many images. This time I just had fun. I printed it onto neenah, colouring it with promarkers and used a paper from Alice in Wonderland... this time a set from mcs called 'A very important date'.

Morning Goddesses
by Rick St. Dennis
Two more of the Morning Goddesses by Rick. This time I have placed them onto part two of the kitchen set from make it crafty Printed onto neenah, coloured with promarkers. Gloss added to the mugs, papers by mcs.
I hope you had a good weekend, we visited Lisa and the family and stopped for tea. There is something about having tea cooked for me that is so sublime, the roast chicken with all the trimmings was gorgeous! I made a rhubarb and apple crumble to take with us. The rhubarb was out of our garden-the first harvest of the year and I was quite chuffed with how it tasty it was. We are exhausted after playing with our grandchildren, they are great fun and as bouncy as kittens! I like to sit on the floor with them but as I get up they leap on me like that fella who spars with Peter Sellers in the Pink Panther films.

Fairy Queen Palace with Lamplighter Fairy
by Rick St. Dennis
I adore this image of the Fairy Queen Palace with the little Lamplighter Fairy. Many of Rick's images can become almost a story in themselves. These two images have been a delight to colour due to the way Rick has drawn them with slight cross-hatching to show where shading could appear. Printed onto neenah coloured with promarkers, papers, lamplight etc made with mcs.

Lady St. John-Smythe
by Rick St. Dennis
This wonderful lady is off to meet up with her chums, shopping in Harrods then maybe a light lunch before a stroll in the park. I have printed her onto neenah, coloured with promarkers. The flowers, papers and book are made in mcs.During our hospital visit today I hope to be able to go into the operators room next to Colin whilst he has his radiotherepy. I am trying to be with him at every stage of his treatment. I think when someone has cancer it does involve the whole family... only eight more sessions to go...
We had the normal trip to the hospital for Colin's
treatment and this time I went in with him. Colin put on one of those attractive
backless gowns over his trousers, put his clothes into a basket and waited to be
called. When the nurse came to collect us we meandered round a maze to the
treatment room where he took off his glasses and got onto the bed. His gown was
lowered and then the fun started. The bed was raised to chest height and the
lights dimmed. Colin laid with his arms above his head holding onto a bar and a
green laser grid appeared on Colin's chest and with a nurse either side of him
(and me getting in the way) Colin was moved slightly to line up his tattoos and
the ink lines drawn on him until the screens read the correct position. This was
all explained to me and of course I hadn't a clue what they were talking about.
They took their time to get everything perfectly aligned and said we are now we
going back to the 'control room' One nurse pressed a button and a loud beeping
noise started. I followed the nurses but one said 'you may want to hurry a bit'
... eek!! it was like a spy film where we have to escape the baddie! So I rushed
after the nurses round the maze to the control room where they said they had to
secure the room because of the radiation. They have to have corners in the maze
and it is made of concrete lined with lead because x-rays flow in straight
lines. Then they started the treatment which was all explained to me and which
of course all went over my head. The nurses both took the time to show me
everything they were doing and the control panel really looked like something
out of a sci-fi film. This huge machine circled Colin one way and then round the
other way, I commented on the size of the machine and was told that even more of
the machine was the other side of the wall to where Colin was laying. The
treatment was then over and we went in to collect Colin... I was able to tell
him all about what was happening whilst he was just laying there, or at least a
simple version. It was all quite exciting really. Now we have the weekend off
and treatment starts again on Monday.
