Borne aloft Mother of Dragons

Is no-where safe? The dragons have returned led by the mother of all dragons. Since when can a myth cause such devastation... Lucifer was supposed to prevent this but when you make a deal with him you never know the final price...hell hath no fury like this mother! She is beyond angry at the loss of her family of monsters and dragons. Hopefully the Bayou Witch can be brought in as back-up, the Warlock set off at dusk to collect her taking heed of the glow above the forest.. Daisy the That-a-way Witch is getting as close as she can reporting back to Brian the Knight who is gathering the ghosts for a final assault. Hedwig and Hannah are getting the brooms primed ready for the call to arms. Sassy and Batty Bettina are already in place on the ground, spells at the ready. A code has been received. The Warlock and the Bayou Witch are nearby, Daisy has joined them, Brian is ready.

The aftermath, and the cobbles are covered with the blood of the courageous. The battle was swift and fierce, our town and countryside has been saved by the bravery of the citizens of Twilight. We mourn our lost companions but all is well. The survivors can sleep tonight, evil has been vanquished, the lights forming a halo around yonder mountains are not to be feared... the whispering in the forest just leaves rustling, the lack of animals is a coincidence, the scorch marks on the trees surely just left over from the spells.

So this is why Battie thought she saw Mad Mr Hare. Thanks to the Bayou witch he is back with the Troll brothers and Fred, Jack and Peter.. we still do not know the price of their return. This wonderfully striking witch is the ghost co-ordinator and she will set them on a collision course with the giant snails.
The battle is raging in the forest, Daisy and the Warlock have been flying missions overhead. Count Calabaza and the rest of the pumpkin heads have destroyed a battalion of Spiders. Lou and Fluffy have seen off the 'carpet' nasties.
Batty Bettina and Sassy are clearing the main paths of the forest as they go. Hattie is armed with those rather small curly wurlys and strawberry chewitts and her and Hedwig joined forces with Hannah and have kept the tearoom clear for any casualties. The ghostly Mad Mr Hare is helping them and nothing and no-one is getting past that foursome.

Here is a snapshot of little Lou with a companion. She did ask if she could keep him and for some reason he seemed quite docile with her. There are still those very weird monsters (still looking like aunties carpets) behind her. They have taken over the bandstand where their fallen comrades are being treated. It has been noticed that there are not as many nasties as before. Something different is happening, something in the air, a bit like a storm approaching.

This Night Fairy is on the lookout for the rest of the monsters. As you can see... there are non around her.. she has dealt with them swiftly without any mess. Her home was under attack but these ladies are so much stronger than they seem. At the moment she is just resting after battle, she was quite shocked to see what she thought was Mad Mr Hare but when she looked straight at him - he wasn't there.

Batty has made a life for herself in the old tree on Twilight Hill. On the outside all there is to show are a couple of flower tubs and a lamp with a rather nice stone path but inside there are steps which lead down to a wonderful entrance hall with rooms off to the sides. A lovely living room with comfy sofas. Two bedrooms and of course the other essential rooms. There are also Spell rooms and persuasion rooms

That-a-way Witch or as we know her, Daisy, has been flying almost non-stop to report back on the monster situation. She has been seen everywhere, all at once, incredible! The Citizens are so impressed that they have made a set of stamps depicting her flying overhead although one day she did do a fly-past (like Maverick in Top Gun) but in her case she flew under the washing line much to the horror of Sassy who really didn't want anyone knowing she wears nice warm bloomers under her sexy dress!
A spell has been cast by the Bayou Witch we do not know the price... There is talk about the deaths of Mad Mr Hare, Zombie Boy and the Troll Brothers but at what cost will they return!

Sassy for the Halloween Hop Day 25

Now this young lady may look a bit of fluff, pretty in pink, all satin and lace...But... see that pumpkin? That's all that is left of a cold caller! Ms Sassy didn't want to have solar panels, to send money to a Nigerian Ambassador, listen about PPI. What a day! She has been organising a fight-back at the tea shop and a search for the Troll brothers. Personally I don't fancy the chances for that 'bug eyed monster' coming over the hill! This is one very strong lady beautifully designed by Rick printed onto neenah (yipee.. new stock arrived yesterday), coloured with promarkers, background designed within Craft Artist 2.

So, down in the Bayou time is shifting. nothing is as it was or as it should be. Someone has visited recently and left an offering to the Bayou Witch in the hope of her favouring The Warlock. Somewhere in the past they had history together, and now when one has changed and one has stayed the same.. now is the time to put everything behind them and bring an end to all this.
Back in town we have started bringing in casualties... Donna has suggested re-animation for the deceased Mad Mr Hare.. a possibility but you remember what happened last time. Still, there may be a chance. That-a-way witch has been seen flying over the battle lines sending back info. Zombie Boy and both the Troll brothers are missing - last seen in the Graveyard.

So Hattie just stepped out for a moment with a bag of goodies for trick or treaters. She knew she would be safe in her own garden. She has her cat and kitten with her and of course Sylvester snake in her pocket (as you would)... Hattie could hear a sort of heavy pattering behind her... as if very large butterflies were flying into walls or when you poof up cushions before a visit from a unfriendly friend. Sylvester had a hissy fit when he spotted what was sitting on a tree stump behind Hattie and then discovered that it wasn't just the one... there were other smaller versions growing before his very eyes! Everywhere a bogie landed another creature formed and grew!
Hopefully Hattie will get back indoors before the attack. At the moment she only has her broom and bag of goodies as weapons... a well aimed curly wurly (Have you noticed they are getting smaller?) might slow old Scary down, or maybe a Strawberry chewitt... by the time he gets the sticky (Hattie has had a bag of them for ages at the bottom of her handbag) wrapper off it Hattie will have her rollers out  and be ready for battle!

Hedwig has returned Halloween Hop Image 22

Hedwig is baaack!!! But something is different, not so subtle changes... she is much stronger than before. the Warlock has tracked her and found her a safe house. Here in Twilight woods she can rest  whilst her powers grow. The witches will gather here, the evil ones will be vanquished!
The Hatter has reported that the tea shop has been over-run with creatures and he's lost the Mad Mr Hare who was last seen fighting off a swarming mob of spiders....
The slimy snake-like monsters have been corralled ready for banishing.
Sassy has reported all is well from the Southern outpost.

The latest news from the town is that we have lost Mad Mr. Hare. He fought bravely and took many spiders with him. He will be missed.

Here is Fred, Jack and Peter gently rotting and trying not to make too much of a mess. Stuck on spikes side by side dripping slightly. Hopefully the ensuing puddle will slow down those snails even more.( A spy in the 'other' camp has expressed his concern that the gloop will mutate the creatures further!) The boys have volunteered to be on the lookout by the gates of the Cemetery these three will miss nothing! They report back to HQ any wandering spirits and demons and have already told of the arrival of the enormous mutant Snails!

More appealing to The Tottenham Ghost and Madama these three pin-up boys in a sort of sliding decay.

This trio of terror by Rick is a must-have! I printed the image onto neenah and coloured it with  promarkers.

It may seem to you that the scene is way to full of stuff going on. But. The photographer didn't have any time to group folks together... well... ok so the three chaps were fairly close together but stroppy snail would have none of it! The poor old photographer (who had time off from the round of weddings and was giving his time free of charge just to help out his sister) tried to say 'Watch the birdie' before the giant Snail had grabbed said birdie and had him for supper... all that was left were a few feathers!

She looks kinda' delicate, somewhat fragile... but, she is the offspring of a Banshee and a Demon with Succabus cousins and you really don't want to mess with this lady! As we say here in darkest Norfolk... 'This lady knows where the bodies are hidden'. She can summon Ghosts and Nasties to fight alongside her. Her scream will strengthen those who look weak and placid.. nothing and no-one will be as they seem... be wary of this lady, she is very dangerous.

 

Since every castle needs a ghost Elsie Shivers will always have a place to haunt...

I have  coloured this wonderful ghost several times now and really love how she looks in sepia. Printed onto neenah, coloured with promarkers then imported into Craft Artist 2. Using a filter I altered her colours into sepia.

He would just like to point out that he isn't scared at all.. bring on the Demons, weird Sea Creatures, Executioners. He has a plan to obliterate them all, no doubt in his mind.It's just that mouse.... well everyone has their 'thing' their nemesis... his just happens to be mice... but, he will have a word with the Tottenham Ghost, all will be well, he is stronger than he looks in this family photo which his mum keeps bringing out to show his girlfriends. He is powerful and will stand shoulder to shoulder with Brian and the Warlock!
Well is 'pumpkin head' scared of the mouse or the little butterfly which just landed on his boot? This is such a clever image with so much going on. For starters, the pumpkin head is so expressive with its look of shock horror. His outfit goes perfectly with the Season. The dragon on his head is nearly losing his balance, the spider and the bat haven't a clue what just happened. The enchanted candle thinks it is hilarious and the mouse obviously thinks he is more scary than he actually is. I just added the butterfly because I particularly like that butterfly.
 The background is from... yes you've guessed it... A Very Important Day from mcs. Bits and bobs added and merged in CA2

Francie is just so lovely. Here in her toasty dressing gown with a glittery feather boa and pretty mules all ready for Christmas fun. Her jaunty Santa hat matches her little cat's hat and she has the mistletoe ready... pucker up baby! Oh No!!! she's forgotten to take out her rollers - very alluring or maybe not so much. 

This wonderful kitchen background is available in both jpeg and png. I used the png version so I was able to add the wallpaper and flooring. I also removed a rectangle of the 'wallpaper' behind the window frame and added a wintery scene. I do adore Zoe's images at make it crafty and use her background scenes as often as I can.

In the local village square stands a Tea Shop. A quaint little place for a chat and a cuppa. The Insane Hatter and his pal Mad Mr Hare decided they would make a killing (Really bad choice of words here) with all the Night Creatures flocking in to the surrounding areas so they bought the cosy cafe thinking to serve up the odd carrot cake and sandwich. Here they are posing for the publicity photos but haven't noticed what the photographer has seen... the poor chap is hurriedly packing away his gear and legging it trying to phone Brian or the Warlock as he is running. How long will it be before the Spiders over run Mr Hare or will the Insane Hatter save him. Will webs cover the entire village. There is news from the Going, Going, Gone lads that mutant snails have been spotted arriving fairly slowly!

Personally I don't think it counts as a friend if it doesn't have a body. Of course that is just my personal opinion. Anyway, Cedric the Goblin really wanted to bring a friend to the party fight and so made his own when he couldn't wait for the rest of the gang to make up their minds whether or not to join Brian (getting fed and a place to sleep) or the Executioners (getting shouted at and a bit scorched by the Dragons). Cedric is a bit concerned about the gossip... since the re-animation of Hedwig was a success no one cleaned up the lab. Now some 'stuff' leaked under the door, some itty bitty spiders took a liking to it, some snails wanted revenge for years of salt abuse and a creature which looked a bit like aunties carpet (but more fragrant) took some home for a snack. Oh My! Someone will have to let the ladies at the Tea Shop know about this turn of events.

Sarah is right to be concerned...

Steph knows something is not right...

AJ must be found - she knows about re-animation and the accompanying  background music.

So, the plans are all drawn out and they have been followed word by word (almost)... Success! As the rat on his head is screaming It's Alive! All is well, everything is a go! We are ready to re-animate Hedwig. There was a page missing from the notebook but what could be so important? After all, sometimes ingredients are hard to see on a recipe if they're under a dollop of batter but what could be so complicated with a little re-animation - it's not rocket science (or is it)

The search has still not found Hedwig but a shadow was seen in the village with no corporeal body startling Dr Doom (Ha! Big fella screamed like a girl) and something was left in an envelope suck to a nearby tombstone. Bert opened it and found pieces of a photograph which tribesmen (and ladies) believe carries the soul.

Finally all the sections of photograph are together on the table along with a cryptic note.... who did leave them in the graveyard... and who left them for me? Well someone is going to be in deep poo... It really isn't the best idea to cut up a photo of a witch! Especially not of Hedwig in her best bewitching outfit! Still, now we have a photo we will be able to put Hedwig back together again, we will be practicing re-animation tomorrow.

For Sarah... Yes, it is a compass rose next to yesterday's Zombie.

Rick always gives that little bit more with his images... with the lacing and ruffles and buckles I think makes his images really stand out. You can always tell if someone has coloured one of Rick's images - there is always an element of surprise about them.

Sometimes the Pumpkin heads can be turned - their allegiance can be altered. Whispers in doorways tell of the oncoming battle. The Knight must be told of the arrival of Dr. Doom before the ghosts and zombies settle down in the graveyard.

Bert need wait no longer... Madama will collect him from the hospital. The ghosts are arriving and are staying in the old abandoned church, there are spaces here in front of Madama booked for Bert and the teenage zombie new boy. (He hates being called that... he is after all 250 years old.) Madama is hoping to use her feminine wiles to encourage Count Calabaza to join her in the graveyard where Brian is putting together a battle plan. And still no news of Hedwig!

The Executioner (The one we met earlier) really has planned something unpleasant for our Brian. There are some very unusual looking visitors to the village. Hannah's friend Hedwig has gone missing and Bert is still waiting to be collected from the hospital... maybe his mum will have to step in. The ghosts are gathering at the old abandoned church, the graveyard is emptying. And now there is a new boy in town... a second executioner to be wary of... one who has friends in low places (Thank you Garth). And this one is leaner and meaner (I have always wanted to have a reason to write that).

One for the family album. A holiday snapshot of The Mist. He was going to take a 'selfie' but The Entity nicked his camera and would you have demanded he hand it over? Nope, I thought not. The Mist is still on the beach near Lucifer so he hopes to get on the Big Guy's naughty list to get a favour... but just how badly does he want that camera??? Have you any idea what sort of returns you have to give for a favour now-a-days...payday loans have nothing on the big Red Chap!

This really creepy image rising from the depth is perfect for the 9th day of the Spookfest which is our Halloween Hop... I do hope you are able to visit the rest of the hop shown on my sidebar... there really is some talent out there!

Anyway, The Mist has been printed onto neenah paper which I buy from a British company called Crafters Companion. I find that this paper works really well both going through my printer and for colouring with promarkers.

So Uncle Luc is on holiday. The little demons buried him but it made the sand to hot to walk on... all around him is slowly turning to glass. (That's the scientific stuff)

Yes I know he is a big scary demon but Union rules state he is entitled to a holiday and he has chosen Hemsby-by-the-sea in October. He is waiting for the unwary to pass by wishing... because if he can turn those wishes into favours...

Well, the Troll brothers moved into this 'des res' after the Tweedle Twins left and tried their best to make it homely... they are going to visit Hannah to make her an offer on the Mansion. They may even offer to sub-let to the Executioners...Garden Troll has just spotted Brian... Brian is looking as battered as a bit of Haddock... he is looking a bit singed but he's going to be ok... BUT things are hotting up. Brian needs to visit an old friend in Hemsby, he needs to know if Uncle Luc will be there for him.

The trolls have so much detail and could fit into so many scenes, the Garden troll for a retirement card and the Fishing troll for, well, a fishing card.

Good Knight Halloween Hop day 6

Brian is recovering from the Dragon incident. His plume is still smouldering and his mustache is somewhat singed. His lovely armour is scratched and is still melting in places and as for his sword... well... all it could be used for is to have on show in one of those kabab shops with lamb clinging on to it as it slowly revolves.. Sooner or later the Executioner is going to find him but Brian really has to find Hannah and Hedwig for some potions and Lotions and before that he has to collect Bert from hospital. Battle lines will be drawn, the Warlock has to be found. alliances made, cakes baked.

Rick St. Dennis created this gorgeous Knight for me and I am totally blown away. Thank you so much Rick... when the Knight has been polished up he will have pride of place. The image available without all the burns and scorch marks is on Rick's Zibbet Site. Link above..

Now he's looking for Hannah... he had heard through Bloodbook (A bit like facebook but messier) that something was going on. Was Hannah planning on selling the Mansion without telling him? Would that ruddy Warlock stop flitting by where he's got no business flitting and where's Brian!!!

Don't you just hate it when you are given one of those ditsy floral gowns to wear in hospital? Bert, the local zombie has been wearing his longer than most. Honestly, the waiting times in our hospitals are horrendous and here in the Midnight World things are getting worse.... Brian the Knight had a bit of an accident yesterday with that Dragon... Only one owner the sticker read... well I could have told him - that Executioner had been around looking for Hannah and had poked the Dragon with the blunt end of his chopper! So now we have poor old Bert waiting for a visit from Brian who was going to bring in some of his best rags.. 'going home clothes' and now who knows what is going to happen to him.... he may have to wait for the new boy... I did hear that the Executioner was going to be in the village soon... oh my! I hope Hannah knows...

It is a well known fact that dragons have no peripheral vision. If you can get behind him then you stand a really good chance of survival. Cute and cuddly they are not! The knight on the other hand is a sweetie. Brian the knight isn't quite sure how he ended up on the dragons tail.. it seemed like a good idea at the time. It was on page 127 of Dragon slaying for Dummies... pity he missed the page where the books author stated that a sleeping potion (XXX size) should be administered to the dragon one hour before slaying.

Here is Hannah hoping for a quick sale, she has heard that the Tweedle Twins are looking for somewhere quiet so she either wants to sell her Manor to them or to Crazy Alyce and to get 'outa Dodge' fast! Honestly, the neighbourhood is going downhill... it's not that Hannah minds all the Trolls, Demons and Dragons etc moving in nearby but she wants to look her best for the Warlock she has seen zooming by and really needs to ditch that Executioner before he finds out what is going on!

Hannah and the Manor have both been printed onto neenah and coloured with promarkers. Fussy cutting, embellishments and curios added in Craft Artist 2.

So, as promised, he will return tonight! All is ready! The wait is over! I am ready to sacrifice all earthly posessions. I will be by the water's edge tonight at midnight and he will return to me.

This really is an amazing Hop, so many ultra creepy images and Entity certainly has claimed his place as one of the creepiest!

Printed onto neenah, coloured with promarkers and spectrum noir pencils. Coloured image has been imported into Craft Artist 2 where I have added a darkened background from the 'Beaches' collection along with water splashes and  diary page.
